Eggless Wholemeal Banana Bread

Everyone is fond of cakes. But if the cake comes packed with nutrition, its a bliss! So here is a recipe for guilt free cake.

Eggless wholemeal banana bread is a moist cake with little crunch. It is highly flavorful and addictive :)

Eggless wholemeal banana bread

  • 2 cup wholemeal self raising flour
  • 1 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp flax seed powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3-4 mashed bananas
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk.
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence.
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix together dry ingredients i.e. flour, walnuts, baking soda, flax seed powder and salt. Keep aside.
  3. In a bowl mix bananas, sugar, milk, oil and vanilla essence.
  4. Now add dry ingredients to the bowl and give a gentle mix so that all ingredients come together. Don't over mix. It will spoil the texture of the cake.
  5. Pour the batter in a greased cake/bread tin. Flatten it with a spoon.
  6. Bake for 40-50 mins. Insert a toothpick in middle, if it comes out clean its done. 
  7. Let it cool for 5-10 mins before cutting into slices.
